Exhibition Statement
The Department of Media Imaging, Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts, is pleased to present its annual student works exhibition for the 2025 academic year, titled “MEDIA PRACTICE 25–26.”
Second-year master’s students will present their graduation projects, representing the culmination of two years of study, while first-year master’s students will showcase the results of their individual research and creative production. The exhibited works take a wide variety of forms, including exhibitions, screenings, performances, games, and more.
Starting from diverse thematic interests such as travel, fermentation, and urban issues, students have produced works through various media including video, installation, and games. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the wide range of approaches that seek to explore and establish new forms of expression.
During the exhibition period, participating students will also conduct gallery tours, offering guided introductions to the exhibition and individual works. The latest information, including screening and performance schedules as well as details of related events, will be announced on the exhibition website around mid-January.
The department will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. We warmly invite you to attend this milestone exhibition.
